RULES

Each week, you'll receive a new set of matchups. Pick the team you think will win each game. Saturday Showdown will focus primarily on SEC matchups, with the featured ESPN College GameDay matchup included each week along with any other games of interest. IF the College GameDay matchup is already part of the regular weekly schedule, it will simply be featured as the College GameDay pick. If it falls outside the regular schedule, it will be added as an additional matchup and will count toward your weekly score.

You'll also submit a Tiebreaker Pick each week, which will be used to determine the weekly winner if two or more players finish with the same score.

Picks can be made or changed at any time before that game's scheduled kickoff. Once a game begins, your pick for that matchup is locked and can no longer be added or changed.

Games that have not yet started will remain open, so missing one game does not prevent you from making picks for the rest of the week.

Weekly picks open every Monday at 12:00 PM ET. Once picks open, each matchup can be submitted or changed up until that game's scheduled kickoff time. Once kickoff arrives, that individual matchup will lock and no new picks or changes will be accepted.

If you forget to make a pick before a game locks, you'll simply receive 0 points for that matchup. You can still make picks for any remaining games that have not yet locked.

You do not have to submit your entire week at once. Once picks open Monday at 12:00 PM ET, pick early, pick late, change your mind ten times-no one cares. Just get your pick in before that game's kickoff.

Every correct pick is worth 1 point, including any additional standalone College GameDay matchup added to the weekly slate. At the end of each week, the player with the most correct picks will be named the "Weekly Winner" and receive an additional 5 bonus points.

If two or more players finish the week with the same number of correct picks, the weekly tiebreaker will determine who receives the 5-point bonus.

Picks, updated standings, and awards will remain hidden throughout the weekend. The final results and updated standings will be revealed each Monday at 12:00 PM ET.

At the end of the season, the player with the most total points will be crowned the Saturday Showdown Champion!

Each week will include a tiebreaker question based on a specific statistic from one of the week's games. Your tiebreaker answer can be submitted or changed until the scheduled kickoff of the game associated with the tiebreaker question. Once that game reaches its scheduled kickoff time, the tiebreaker will lock and can no longer be added or changed.

If two or more players finish the week with the same number of correct picks, the tiebreaker will determine the "Weekly Winner". The player whose answer comes closest to the actual result without going over will win the tiebreaker and receive the 5-point "Weekly Winner" bonus.

If every tied player guesses over the actual result, the player whose answer is closest to the actual reasult will win instead.

If two or more players remain tied after applying the tiebreaker rules, they will share the "Weekly Winner" title and each tied player will receive the full 5-point bonus.

If the regular season and post season end with a tie in the overall standings, a separate series of championship tiebreakers will determine the Saturday Showdown Champion.

Awards are weekly achievements earned based on how you performed with your picks. Some recognize great picking, while others recognize... participation. Awards are revealed alongside the week's results every Monday at 12:00 PM ET.

Awards are purely for bragging rights and do not add or subtract points from your overall score. Multiple players may earn the same award when they meet its requirements.

ESPN Analyst

Think you know ball? Prove it.

The player with the highest percentage of correct picks for the week earns the "ESPN Analyst" award. If multiple players finish with the same highest percentage, each player earns the award.

ESPN Cheerleader

Not the best. Not the worst. Just happy to be here.

The ESPN Cheerleader award is earned by the player or players who finish in the middle of the weekly standings. If there are an even number of standings positions, players in both middle positions earn the award. If multiple players are tied within a qualifying position, each of those players earns the award.

Maybe Just Try Cheerleading

Football may not be your thing.

The player with the lowest percentage of correct picks for the week earns the "Maybe Just Try Cheerleading" award. If multiple players finish with the same lowest percentage, each player earns the award.

Lone Wolf

Sometimes going against the crowd pays off.

The "Lone Wolf" award is earned when a player correctly picks a winner that no other player picked correctly. More than one player may earn a Lone Wolf award during the same week if they accomplish it on different games.

Clean Sweep

No misses. No excuses. Perfection.

Correctly pick the winner of every matchup for the week to earn the "Clean Sweep" award. Every player who finishes the week with a perfect record earns the award.

Professional Coin Flipper

At this point, you could've saved yourself some time and energy and grabbed a quarter.

Finish the week with 40%-60% of your picks correct to earn the "Professional Coin Flipper" award. Every player whose weekly percentage falls within that range earns the award.
